Annual Meeting Registration

I just finished my registration for the AONE Annual Meeting. What a breeze! I was able to complete the online registration within 10 minutes and my confirmation arrived in my inbox in less than a minute. Most of my information was already populated thanks to the AONE member database.

I had to pay by check since my institution covers the registration fee. That was easy too. My email confirmation is the bill that I easily forwarded to our office associate who generates the payment. What happened next was amazing... I was able to register for my hotel stay and all of the personal information entered from the meeting registration carried over to the hotel registration. Presto! I'm ready for the meeting.

Be well.

Pam's First Blog Post...

Hey ya’ll!

Hope you and your families are enjoying a happy holiday season. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but welcome to my blog! I never thought I would join the “blogging bandwagon” but I’m thrilled to be sharing my innermost thoughts and feelings about everything AONE in the coming year. Move over Sarah Palin!

First things first! Registration has opened for the 2010 AONE Annual Meeting. We invite all of you to join us in Indianapolis from April 9-13. (This marks the first time AONE is holding an Annual Meeting in Indy; I have a feeling the town will never be the same!) Plans are well underway to bring you top-notch educational content, networking opportunities galore and the best and brightest of products and services in our jam-packed Exhibit Hall. We are hoping to have another incredible gathering of top nurse leaders throughout the country. I can’t wait!

As I get ready for Indy I’m already planning for my shopping trips to purchase clothes, and of course, SHOES!! Elizabeth (my daughter), Pat (my twin sister) and Katie (my niece) and I have a trip to New York City planned for December 28 – 30 and a trip to Charleston, SC the first week in February. Many of you know that shopping is my favorite hobby and what a great way to justify the expenses to New York City and Charleston. The picture of my sister and I (can you tell which one is me?) is from our last shopping “spree” at Charleston Place in July of this year!

Anyway, I digress. If you haven’t registered yet, be sure to register for the Annual Meeting today. (After you have registered, you will receive information on how to book your hotel.) Also, be sure to view more details on the speakers and all the program specifics.

Take good care, and happy holidays!

Welcome to the AONE Blog

Hello my fellow socially networked nursing leaders! This is my first post for the brand new AONE Blog (still has that new blog smell). Just a little background on me: I am a 2008 AONE Nurse Manager Fellow and have been a local, state, or national member of the organization since I became a nursing leader almost ten years ago; and I am a social media enthusiast. I will be posting information to this blog about the upcoming AONE 43rd Annual Meeting & Exposition.

Last week marked the opening of registration for the 2010 Annual Meeting. If you haven’t done so, you should complete the early registration to get the “early bird” discount. Think of it as a holiday gift for yourself that you got at a discount!

The 2010 Annual Meeting will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana… varoom, varoom, varoom. The 2010 Annual Meeting promises to be another great experience for all nursing leaders. Let’s not forget the Exhibit Hall – can you say free pens?!! I’m getting ready to complete the registration process. I’ll blog at you later.

Be well.
